Client Brief

The client wanted to create a modern space that was unique and different to the previously designed and installed en-suite and cloakroom. They wanted to ensure the design worked with the sloping ceiling whilst reconfiguring the existing layout but wanted the luxury element of a freestanding bath with separate shower. The client had mentioned the introducing a blue colour and so this was part of the inspiration for the design

Design

When it came to the concept for the room we felt that the focus should be around creating the illusion of space. We opted for soft edges on the free standing bath and this was mimicked with the wall hung basin and toilet.

The soft edges of the sanitaryware allowed us to be a little more daring when it came to the tiles and we opted for a non-conventional ceramic glazed tile for the statement piece. Combining this with a mix of glazed and wood effect tiles throughout the design, the different finishes and sizes created a contemporary feel to the design. Areas of the room were highlighted with the different finishes whilst adding that pop of colour throughout the room. The woodgrain porcelain floor tile really added depth and warmth to the room and worked wonderfully with the contrast of the blue and white.

The whole design was complemented with chrome fixtures adding a timeless feel and brightness to the room. Thr room had the luxury of underfloor heating whilst combining this with the tree towel radiator which is perfect for smaller spaces.
